Black Rice Bowls (series of 5)
Pâte de Verre
10 H x 12.5 W x 12.5 D cm
The dense velvet-like textures of black glass conceal an element of mystery in exploring the sensual aspect of tactility and simplicity. The softness of pâte de verre flows and folds like paper, and subtle hints of light filter through impressions left by rice grains on the surface. Within each’ black’ rice bow lies the notion that – “Even in the darkest of dark there shines an element of light”
