The physical properties of the material, its ability to bend and distort light and space are a constant fascination. It is these simple elements that are constantly being explored in my work. The sculptures work on both the micro and macro levels. They work in relationship to themselves, as the interior is a world in itself. However, the form in space is also important, the way it changes and plays with light and the way it distorts objects seen through the space. The clear or translucent, coloured glass acts as a lens through which viewers see spaces rearranged. The silky surfaces are luminous, simultaneously transmitting and reflecting light.
