A Net for Light #1

Cast, hot formed and cold worked furnace glass
46 H x 23 W x 8 D cm

My new work explores depth perception and light manipulation. By capturing the natural flow of the molten material, I am able to exploit the veiling of colour to give inward distance.

Polished surfaces reveal the optical properties of the material, allowing an internal reflection and the transmission of light.
