Equilibrium

Blown and cut glass
25 H x 90 W x 40 D cm

Stimulated by the sculptural possibilities of human form and the organisation of musculature, this work invites a dialogue between the viscous and sinuous qualities of the glass medium. Alluding to the tenuous nature and fragility of human tissue whilst simultaneously referring to its inherent strengths. It is curious similarities between glass and muscle, flesh and fluids of the body that keeps my interest in making and installing these forms.
