This piece is from a body of work in which I have focussed on the refinement of a particular vessel form. Replicating this form provides a structure through which I can refine and explore the elegance of line and proportion. The detail of the windows completes the form and invites the exploration of the internal space. One can appreciate a detailed view of both the texture and contrast of the surfaces, the windows draw people close to it and provide an experience of an intimate and private space. By using architectural references, the vessel becomes a construction and interpretation of the desire to create both refined objects and intimate spaces.
