Shaman Stick (grey/blue)/Shaman Stick (blue/black)

Blown and assembled glass, wood, steel, cotton
64.5 H x 9 W x 9 D cm

The Series Shaman Sticks has evolved from the primordial belief that a magic wand holds significant energy. This imagery is combined with origins in the bush toys of the Australian Aboriginal.

The objects, made in glass, present a conflict between the fragility and tension of the material and its perceived ritualistic intent.
