I have, in my recent works, presented objects that use parody and appropriation to challenge stereotypical concepts of women in society. By using the domestic icon as a metaphor for women and by juxtaposing elements of kitsch and the diverse readings of glass within the piece, I want to challenge the domestic icon as a signifier of women and broaden the context in which women are perceived.
