ripening ll

Cast glass, cast bronze
12 H x 24 W x 12 D cm

My work is dedicated to the strength of the human spirit. The piece, ripening ll, is from a larger body of work that explores the journey that victims of child sexual abuse travel, on the way to becoming survivors. I chose the seed to represent children and their potential for growth, while the peach represents the development of a maturer, healthier sexuality.
