Using the 'lost wax' casting process, I have produced two works in glass that are a natural continuation of my most recent work. Described most easily as simple two-dimensional shapes that have been projected into three dimensions, I have endeavoured to produce very angled/structured pieces that contrast against their natural ability to draw the eye along curves. These basic contours are drawing on the shapes of ancient Amphora vessels forms. I have treated the entire surface with deep grooves and ridges in an attempt to break down and cause additional interest in these soft curves.
