2012 Finalist

Christine CathieHerne Bay, Auckland, New Zealand

Reclining O-void

Cast lead crystal, acid etched and polished
18 H x 56 W x 35 D cm

When I turned the O-void to its side I found I had to approach the form in a different way - the walls became higher and the shape more elongated, but still working with smooth twists in curve and variations in thickness and using the polished face to define that curve.
