Antarctic Ice – Untouched World
Lost wax, kiln cast glass
15.5 H x 15.5 W x 15.5 D cm
Work in Antarctica was the inspiration for this sculpture. The geometric form represents human impact and the dramatic glacial crevasse reflects the brutal, yet fragile quality of ice. Glass is the perfect analogy. Air is trapped, light is refracted, colour is transparent, one formed by freezing, the other by heat.
