Blueprint Houses
Fused glass, Paradise Paint,
sandblasting

A consistent theme throughout
my work is narrative and text. By paring down the shape of the house to its minimum one can achieve the iconic house form as depicted in children’s drawings.
The Blueprint Houses are in the shape of plans, stacked, with text only defining their forms, still in concept form, not yet built.

Glass creates spaces as well as forms. Interiors can be veiled. Crumbling or fractured textures play with deterioration and decay.
Shadows extend the character. The grounding and placement create dispositions or moods which allow the viewer to project the feelings of the state of the house.
