This work continues my ongoing research into ancient and modern day manifestations of the human and animal form. The initial ‘spark’ for this work was a nostalgic look into 1950’s and 60’s portrayal of future science – a science fiction wonderland.
As I continue to explore the visual influences of contemporary media and popular culture, I have come to realize that the image of the ‘robot’ is becoming increasingly poignant within contemporary society as science fiction ventures into reality.
