My intention with this new work has been to pursue my fascination in contrasting textured and polished surfaces, by adaptation of a traditional Japanese metalworking technique known as mokume.
Through a crossing of cultural and disciplinary boundaries, a depth of surface which I previously found unattainable, has been achieved.
