Flame, kiln and cold worked glass
28 H x 78 W x 38 D cm
This work tells of the endless cycle of nature, of day to nights, summer to winter, of high tide to low. The form described by the hollow ellipse leads the eye from one part of the cycle to another, participated by the patterns of western society backgrounded by dots overcome by the construction lines which form a grid. The intense contrast of the parallel lines make reference to the dynamics of indigenous imagery compacted into but a part of the once held landscape but still impacting upon the total.
